ET: 14: SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN IN SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN

Use what you know about expressionism to discuss this sequence. How is it expressionistic? Does it relate to other expressionist scenes we have watched in this course? (Anything in “M” or “Metropolis”, for example?) What does it express besides getting wet? What is its meaning of the sequence in the context of the whole movie?

Deconstruct the choreography. How does it tell a story? How does it go beyond telling a story?

  1. Hey Rey,
I’ve done this ET as well. I hope you enjoy my essay! 😀

It was a pleasure re-watching this. I’ve been singing it all day even to my car in the rain! Haha!
