CLASS DISCUSSION PREPARATION

On Monday, we will discuss the two short films we saw on Friday. Please read the entry “NARRATIVE THEORY” and think about how it applies to Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. Is  Night and Fog a narrative? How is it constructed? Is there any way in which the two films are alike? Have your thoughts ready.

COMMENT SPACE: NIGHT AND FOG

Here is the IMDB link to Night and Fog. Here is the link to the United States Holocaust Museum, for more information on the history of the death camps. Feel free to comment.

COMMENT SPACE: OCCURRENCE AT OWL CREEK BRIDGE

Here is the IMDB link. Feel free to comment on the film any way you want. Would it have been better in color?

Given the reasons Schindler’s was banned, should Night and Fog have been shown at Taylor’s University? What is your response? Do comment.
